Methodology

Life Sutra Synthesis does not propose a single universal methodology. It works with a plural, pramāṇa-sensitive approach: method should respond to the nature of the knowledge claim. The full stage-by-stage protocol document is in preparation; the principles below already govern every editorial decision.

Four principles that govern every decision

These principles are in effect today and will anchor the full methodology protocol once it is published.

Evidence before assertion
Every knowledge claim is classified and matched to an evidence standard before it enters review. Tradition is a source, not a substitute for argument.
Transparent translation
Technical vocabulary carries interpretive weight. Authors document each rendering decision so readers can reconstruct the reasoning.
Comparative but not derivative
Indian frameworks are examined on their own terms first, then placed in comparison — never validated only by resemblance to modern categories.
Open by default
Abstracts, metadata and review summaries are public. Data is deposited wherever custodianship agreements permit.
